mylist of movies...

I saw the date that i have last written a post and todays date!! its been almost 10-15 days that i wasnt in action. Thats pretty bad to my record...well thats what i thought...
so thought of writing something..that something is now movies...
i was at home for the past 3 weeks... the best way to spend time is either watch movies, television and go places. I did all the three...
Recently I saw some pretty good movies which i have downloaded and saw them.
here goes the list...

1. Ben-Hur - One of the greatest movies of all time. Its released in 1950's. But pretty good one. It got 11 Oscars and its worth it. Its one of the Biblical story and adapted from a novel as well. The horse chariot race is amazing in that movie. A must watch movie. There are many things to learn from that... like about frenship, love, passion and fraternity.

2. Casablanca - This movie is one of the greatest love stories. Some of the dialogues are punch lines. No one can ever beat them. The most famous line is " This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship". I just loved that movie. Worth watching.

3. Princess Mononoke - A very good animation movie. It conveys a strong message about environment. How should humans and plants live in harmony by allowing other creatures to live peacefully. I guess we should all understand the importance of forests in our life to maintain the stability.

4. Vertigo - One of the best movies of Alfred Hitchcock. Its a suspense movie and the direction is superb. One should watch for facial expressions, actions and the minimum dialogues present in the movie. Many hindi movies are adapted from this movie but they really dont have that essence and directors eye. Watch it fellows.

5. The good, the bad and the ugly - A typical cowboy movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the background music and its awesome. When Clint Eastwood is there as hero, it should be awesome. There are good punch lines and the difference between different kinds of people is shown in a very good way. Hats off Clint Eastwood!!!

6. UP - One more best animation movie. I loved the kid in that movie and also the bird. It says that there is no age limit for dreaming and making it come true. Its rated very good in IMDB. Go for it!!! I loved the thousands of balloons which are attached to the old mans house.

7. Sleeping Beauty - Another animation movie. Obviously girls love that movie for prince kinda style. Its fun to watch fairy tales with witch and fairies :)

8. The Secret Life of Bees - Dakota Fanning is now 14 year old and she acted pretty good in this movie. It has an interesting storyline and very deep meaning. hmm... worth watching again.

hmm... those are the movie reviews. Not sure how many have watched them and they are really interesting. Thats how my time passed and now back on track for office. And finally its raining in Hyderabad for few days and the city rocks now :)

A difficult judgement

Yesterday my fren forwarded me an interesting little story. Its really good one.
Just wanted to share it for fun.

In a small town, a person decided to open up his Bar business, which was right opposite to a Temple. The Temple & its congregation started a campaign to block the Bar from opening with petitions and prayed daily against his business.

Work progressed. However, when it was almost complete and was about to open a few days later, a strong lightning struck the Bar and it was burnt to the ground.

The temple folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the Bar owner sued the Temple authorities on the grounds that the Temple through its congregation and prayers was ultimately responsible for the demise of his bar shop, either through direct or indirect actions or means.

In its reply to the court, the temple staff and devotes denied all responsibility or any connection that their prayers were reasons to the bar shop's demise.

As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork at the hearing and commented: "I don't know how I'm going to decide this case, but it appears from the paperwork, We have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer and we have an entire temple and its devotees that doesn't."

mazaa on comments

It so happened that I was away from my blog for few days and I saw much of blogging happening in other frens sites. As usual i got up late on a sunday morning and started reading Smita's and Vimmuuu's blog. I do read comments sometimes just to get the funny part of them and others interpretations of the post. The comments in Smita's posts are pretty funny and good. Sometimes I enjoy the little fights that happen in comments section.
Adding more mirch masala, shuddh hindi words, pulling legs and what not are present in Vimmuuu's comments section. If you start reading comments, it never ends. There is definitely a war of words and one can thoroughly enjoy them. In the process one can easily timepass for about 2 hours. And also get to know lot of blog members who write quite interestingly. My mom got really angry when i was laughing to myself while reading all the posts with comments. Ofcourse post writing and comments are completely irrelevant in Vimmuuu's blog.
So guys if you really wanna enjoy... laugh for sometime... and then timepass... go for those blogs. Awesomely funny!!!!!

You want links right now?? There they go...

retrospection - finding about me

From the month of July to August, my day to day life has taught me many things. They ranged from taking care of my mother, filling the gap of my sister who went to study in other state, how to get rid of boredom, office tensions and health concerns.

I want to say a few lines about my north india trip. I went to Gwalior and Agra to have a change in my routine. It turned out to be horrible. Madhya Pradesh is completely a backward state which doesnt have proper transport facilities. Even though its well connected by railways, the stations are the most horrible places. There are thousands and thousands of house flies on the platforms. Looks like the platforms are not cleaned for ages and you find all kinds of rotten things. After looking out the conditions there, I was thinking that I dont have any right to complain about Hyderabad. Isn't it the best city ever lived and enjoyed. The city Bhopal doesnt even look like the capital of the state. I guess the politicians there are just sitting in big houses and having hukka. They are not considering the development of the state. The same is with Agra(Uttar Pradesh). Except for Taj Mahal I resented everything there. All most all of them are cheaters and want money earned by illegal ways.

I would like to tell the best part about my journey. It was the deep forest and small rivulets that were flowing through it. The rains made the forest look more beautiful with lots of greenary. Most of the tribals there are very simple in living with just a small hut and one or two cows and buffaloes. Most of the cultivation is done on the hillside. I forgot the name of that cultivation though. Its a very beautiful sight. If one wants to escape the monotonous city life, MP is the best place and also North-East. While enjoying nature, I would give up my luxuries.
Hmm... few lines turned out to be 2 paragraphs.

Now I am thinking what is the retrospection i was going to write???
I completed reading a novel "keep off the grass" by Karan Bajaj.
My verdict: Its not great. Its less than average. Though he added funny elements and eye-opener lines, I didnt find it amazing book to read.
I will continue in my next post.

Super duper memory

Today i came early from office as there was no internet and we couldnt do much work without it in our office. I gave lift to my Bindu and happily came on my scooty drenching a bit in rain.
As I reached home, my mom told me that we would be going to Warangal for cradle ceremony. God!!!Its really so tiresome to go on a week day and make stupid excuses to your manager for asking leave...
I have decided that I would say to my manager that I am sick( maybe cold with fever)
Obviously for that ceremony we need to buy a baby dress and a small finger ring of gold. We were prepared to go for shopping. And tomorrow morning we have to travel by train. Usually my mom has this vomit feeling during journey. So she takes some anti-vomit tablets. She asked me to buy them for sure. I told the name of it in house(which starts with E) and we went out.

After completing with the shopping, my mom asked me to buy the tablet.
To my goodness I couldnt recollect the name of the tablet.
I was trying very hard to recollect it... its on the tip of my tongue... but some how i am not able to spell it out....even write it maybe

I was saying to my mom that it starts with E.. but what is it!!!!!
I was scolding myself for being such a stupid girl...
I was recollecting what it could be...
just 1 hour back i was shouting the name of it in my house...
now its gone...
how could it happen!!!
Crazy...
stupid...
My brain is such a mess...
what the hell...
what can the name of it be...

Entacid... ( isnt it the name of some acidity tablet???? does it really exist)
Epitome...( isnt it some dictionary word for something else... and not an anti-vomit tablet)
Err... Eli... Esee...Edi...Eti..Enti...
I was trying to form all the words i knew which starts with E and sound like a tablet...
My mom was telling that its a very powerful tablet and that she would have written it on her hand...(you should have done it mom!!! now no helping)
I was doing all this while i was sitting in bus while coming back...
At last I have decided to ask the medical shop fellow to give me an anti-vomit tablet whose name starts with E...

At the medical shop:
Me, " Uncle, can you please give me two anti-vomit tablets whose name starts with E??"
Uncle, with a confused and dumb look on his face, " what name??"
Me," uncle the name starts with E!!!"
Uncle, " Domstal??"
Me, " uncle the name starts with E!!!!(cant u understand i am asking something else...u duffer)"
Uncle, " perei&&*&*&?"
Me, " ayyo...no uncle, the name starts with E!!!!"

My mom, uncle and we were staring at each other for few seconds.
EUREKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Emiset...Emiset...Emiset!!!!
Thats it...Thats the tablet name... I could remember it...
I asked that uncle, to give the tablet Emiset.
He told that they are not available in his shop...
I thought for myself, "What a pity deepu...cant help..."

At last I took two domstal tablets and came home. They are as good as Emiset.
I realized that for those minutes my memory was erased. How could it happen!!! I used those tablets sometime back. Gosh!!! Our brain acts weird sometimes... it almost made me go insane today. I told my mom never to forget this tablet name in life. I can ditch her anytime with my memory...Err... stupid brain.
