In this week I have observed that most of the people around me are using the word "ZERO IN ON" many number of times. I also observed that phrase in newspaper a good number of times.
I was wondering if I was thinking about that word very deeply or never bothered about it till now.
I am going to give the meaning of that word here:
Zero in on - Direct or focus attention on
eg: The police have ZEROED IN ON the man they believe to be responsible for the murder.
Zero in on - Head for, move towards
eg: The hurricane is ZEROING IN ON Florida.
A phrase worth learning :)
