damn you!!!

Actually the other day few of my frens(only girls) were talking about marriage and stuff like that...
and then this question came in my mind and I remember reading it in one of the telugu lesson in school days..
All fair complexion guys want fair complexion girls for marriage. Even wheatish and medium complexion guys want fair complexion girls for marriage. Even dark guys want fair complexion girls for marriage. Then who want the dark complexion girls???

Damn you guys!!! I am referring to only those who has such opinions and thoughts.

There is a great director Vishwanath in telugu movies. For one of his movies one man wrote beautiful lyrics for a song.. they are as follows translated in english :
Isn't a brown colored calf not born from a white cow?? And isn't a white calf not born from a brown colored cow?? Why do you think so??
I know those two lines make a lot of sense. And I wish people realize that fact!!!
What if girls started rejecting dark complexion guys?? Where will they go and die??
Anyways sometimes the fact of turning down the girls turned out to be true. Few of my frens told me such incidents. Dont know when the thinking of parents and some of the guys will change??? Will it ever change if they are some of the deep rooted facts implanted into our heads during birth itself???
I hope someday our people  and society change for a better living purpose...

This is exactly what I meant in that clothes post of mine. Donno if the message came out clearly. Beauty is always skin deep !

Most of us want THE best, which I think is human in nature. Not many will have realistic picture of themselves before asking for something. Sad but true!

By the way, the song you mentioned is not really about skin color. What he means by color (varnam) is caste. Dr.K Viswanadh made the movie to convey a message that all castes and religions are same. One should not judge a person by his birth, but by his attributes.

@vimmuuu... frankly!!! i didnt get the message from that post about clothes...now it makes lot of sense!!!

@Gopal...hmm...most of us want the best!!! cant help for our thinking..
and thank you for the clarification regarding the Vishwanath movie...I even wanted to convey that fact and it would be lot more complex to make people understand...but if you think in the other way in color perspective also it makes sense...its all in the genes

Yes I agree these things get damn irritating!!! I cease to understand what part does color of complexion play in what a person really is!!!

"it would be lot more complex to make people understand" correct! But, there's another way... to choose those who already understood this. I would rather be hopeful and positive rather than pessimistic and negative. There may be handful of people out there (out of one billion population ;-) who believe that "outward beauty is ephemeral, and people be valued based on their attributes rather than materialistic things".

I have something more to add to it. If somebody is rejecting a match, just because of color or status or some such thing... it's fortunate to miss that match (because it's already worthless). What do you say?

@smitha...seriously!!! such shameless persons do exist.

@Gopal... i know... its fortunate to lose such jerks and bless the girls who marry such guys.

On a Lighter note:
I dont know why ppl do like tht.One of my college frd has this view. If a dark color guy marries a fair gal, prbbly their nxt genration will have better complexion. A hope tht devoids his kids from the social outcast tht he has been facing. But i have sme frds who liked and married dark gals. Most of us wrshp gods who are in dark complexion. So gals!! rejection doesnt mean they dont like you. Be positive.

The same applies to many other issues. For example, tell me if the following is not true abt gals (deepu i know u r exception to this).

A poor gal wants to marry a rich and prosperous guy
A middle class gal wants to marry a rich and prosperous guy
A rich gal wants to marry a rich and prosperous guy

Finally, every gal irrespective of complexion likes only fair and handsome hero/actor and vice versa. Why and Why?
Ofcourse all this nonsence of wrld can be better explained in the principle called: "Gravity of lighter colors" by NVR. A promising director making a movie out of this principle :).

Rejection ,reason being what ever ,will hurt...and that can imply to both girls and guys.
Guys look for girls who are Fair, slender, beautiful similary girls look for financial status,NRI.Now if you say guys who reject gals with dark complexion are jerks then what to call girls who reject guys ?????

@deepthi: Hello miss... I got the same question as the "anonymous" above! Everybody has got their priority/wish list yar. You can't call every such person as jerk. There are number of gals too who want fair/handsome/rich/prosperous guys, irrespective of the girl being poor, not-so-fair etc etc. It's just the human quality you can blame, but you can't give gender based judgements! Personally, I know some cases, where guys are rejected because of their dark complexion and not-so-rich status (though, otherwise they are THE best in other aspects).

@mightymagic: I wasnt talking anything related to financial status here. And i am not here to defend such things as well.
But whatever you said about your fren might be true for the thinking he had. He might have faced such complexion issues in life and hence decided to think so.

@anonymous: What do you think is the probability of girls rejecting guys most of the time??? And thats the criteria you are talking about here for rejection?? Even in this age, girls are not completely given choice if you ask me. I have seen many such cases where decision is not made by them individually.

@Gopal: Okay Mr.Gopal!! I agree. I am giving a gender biased judgement here. And its true that thinking needs to change from both the genders. But do you know that for such thinking from a girls perspective many external factors and surroundings contribute alot.

Gopal said...

Well... you agreed! and I know what forces to such thinking. What I am trying to state is above all those... "Be positive and look at the brighter side, be it finding a match or anything else in life. After all, we have only one life, and one has to LIVE it to the fullest". Good luck friend :-)
